About Angela Martin

Angela Martin has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world, reviewed more than 50,000 resumes, and helped countless people get the jobs they want from internship to executive level.

From working with small start-up companies to managing a department in a global company with a $2 Billion account, she can speak firsthand about employers of all types and what they are looking for in applicants. From both the internal recruiter perspective and consulting job seekers on how to land the job they want (not just the one they can get), she knows what works. Angela offers college students real-world advice on what they can do now as college students to ignite their career while still in college and land that meaningful job they want!

She also pulls from her own experience of graduating in Oklahoma and landing her first job out of college in California. Angela wants students to know that whatever they want for their career, they can have. Within one year of her own college graduation, Angela was promoted to become the youngest Creative Manager in the advertising industry worldwide (and at the agency that did Got Milk? nonetheless). Less than two years later, she was named a top employee by the partners of AdAge’s “Agency of the Decade.”

Since working with Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, she has also helped IDEO and Facebook build out their design groups through recruiting a range of disciplines including graphic design, product design, interaction design, copywriting, strategic planning, production, software engineering, industrial engineering, and mechanical engineering.

Angela is a Certified Career and Life Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF), and in 2012 became one of the first Board Certified Coaches through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE). She is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and has the NACE Career Readiness Competencies woven throughout her career development and professional development programs.
